Confidentiality Agreement: RTS Men’s Retreat, December 18–20

1. Purpose

This agreement protects the privacy of everyone who attends. Men may share personal stories, struggles, and prayer requests during the retreat, and this agreement exists so those things stay with the group.

2. What’s Confidential

Confidential information includes anything shared in sessions, small groups, meals, or conversations during the retreat. It also includes the names, contact information, personal details, and stories of other participants, as well as any registration, health, or safety information shared with the retreat team.

3. Your Commitment

I agree to:
- Keep confidential information private and not repeat it to anyone outside the retreat, including friends, family, church members, or online.
- Not share other participants’ names, contact information, or stories, online or offline, without their written permission.
- Not post photos, video, or audio from the retreat without written consent from everyone who appears in it.
- Speak about my own experience only, and not in a way that identifies others.
4. RTS Commitment

Release the Strongman will:
- Keep registration and personal information private.
- Share it only with approved leadership who need it to plan or run the retreat.
- Store records securely and delete them after 6 months, unless you ask us to keep them.
- Never sell or share your information with outside parties for marketing.
5. Limits of confidentiality

We can’t guarantee that every participant will keep this agreement, and we can’t offer the legal privilege that applies to licensed counselors or pastors acting in that role. The retreat is peer support, not therapy or a medical service.

We may need to break confidentiality:
- When required by law.
- If we believe someone is in immediate danger of harming himself or someone else, in which case we may contact emergency services.
- If we learn of abuse of a minor, as required by law.
6. Ground rules

Participants agree to treat each other with respect, avoid pressuring anyone to share more than they’re ready to, and not use alcohol or drugs during the retreat.

7. Duration

These obligations continue after the retreat ends, for as long as the information is held.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
- Before November 18: Full refund, less $25 for processing.
- November 18 to December 4: 50% refund. Your costs for the venue and groceries are largely committed by then.
- After December 4: No refund
- If Release the Strongman cancels the retreat: Full refund.
- Medical or family emergencies: Refunds or credits are reviewed case by case. Ask for documentation when possible.
- No-shows: No refund.
